PES College of Nursing, Kuppam, inaugurated its much-awaited Annual Sports Meet 2025 on the evening of 17th July 2025 at the on-campus cricket grounds, amidst an atmosphere filled with excitement, energy, and vibrant participation.
The grand event was formally inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Abhirami, who delivered an inspiring address highlighting the integral role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and leadership among nursing students. She encouraged students to actively engage in the events, not only to compete but also to bond, learn, and grow through the spirit of sportsmanship.
The ceremony was graced by Vice Principal Mr. Daniel, along with all faculty members and administrative staff, who came together to support and motivate the participants. The event commenced with a colorful march-past, followed by the hoisting of the sports flag and lighting of the ceremonial torch, marking the official start of the sports festivities.
The venue came alive with cheers from a large gathering of students, who enthusiastically supported their peers, creating a charged and uplifting atmosphere. The inaugural evening featured engaging events including track and field competitions, team games, and fun-filled warm-up activities that showcased the athletic talents and enthusiastic spirit of the student community.
This Annual Sports Meet aims to go beyond competition—emphasizing physical fitness, mental well-being, camaraderie, and personal growth, all of which are essential to shaping well-rounded and compassionate nursing professionals.
