Bengaluru, November 18, 2025 – PES University had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Derek Ham, Ph.D., Director of the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) at Carnegie Mellon University, for an engaging two-day visit on November 17–18, 2025.

The visit, coordinated by Dr. Gowri Srinivasa, brought together faculty teams from diverse domains including Design, Performing Arts, CSE, CAVE LABS, CCBD, CDSAML, C-IoT, and CISFCR. Dr. Ham also toured the Electronic City Campus, interacting with students and faculty working on cutting-edge AR/VR technologies.

During his sessions, Dr. Ham addressed prospective students across PES campuses, sharing insights into how ETC is pioneering advancements in AR, VR, and AI-driven innovations that are shaping the future of gaming and immersive experiences.

Building Global Collaborations
This visit marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between PES University and Carnegie Mellon University’s ETC. Both institutions aim to foster joint research, knowledge exchange, and innovation in emerging technologies.
