The inauguration and the orientation of the first year classes for B.Tech, B. Pharm and Pharm. Dprograms of PES University at Electronic city campus was held on 23rd August 2025.
Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operations Officer, PES University, in his inaugural address stated that PES is committed to quality education. Hard work and perseverance are the most important qualities that the student must embrace to thrust forward in life. “There is no one turning point in life, it is the life long journey of learning”. Practical skills development, personal well-being, good peer group and building a network of professional relationships will empower every student to achieve greater heights.
Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, PES University in his presidential address stated that “Discipline is the legacy that the PES proudly embraces”. He also stated that “PES truly recognizes merit” and over 100 crores have been distributed to meritorious students over a period of time. He emphasized the roles of both parents and the institution in nurturing the future of the student. He quoted that PES with the strong mentorship program caters to the need and guides the students to reach their life’s pinnacle.
Prof. D. Jawahar, Chancellor, PES University, Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. HarshaChaturvedi, Chief Technology officer, Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar and Dr. NagarjunaSadineni, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University were present on the occasion.
Dr. NagarjunaSadineni, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University proposed the welcome address and Dr. Deepa Nair, Chairperson of the Department of Science and Humanities rendered the vote of thanks.
Prof. CNR Rao and Prof. MRD merit scholarships were presented to meritorious students by the dignitaries. The dignitaries also offered their floral tribute to Dr. M. R. Doreswamy, the founder Chancellor, PES University and Sir M. Visvesvaraya on this occasion.
Prof. D. Jawahar, Chancellor, PES University held an orientation session for all the first-year parents and students highlighting the important practices of the University that the students need to follow to become successful in their lives.
