R. Krishna Rao of PES Institutions. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kancherla Srikanth, MLC, applauded PES Institutions’ efforts, calling PES Medical College Hospital the “pulse” of Kuppam. He remarked, “This hospital has been a lifeline for thousands, especially the poor and rural communities, offering advanced healthcare at affordable cost. Such institutions are not just service providers; they are pillars of hope and progress for society.” He encouraged citizens to actively support such initiatives for their long-term success. Mr. Srinivas Rao, Municipal Commissioner, shared his vision for a cleaner Kuppam under the Swachh Andhra Mission, announcing that within six months, Kuppam aims to become the first municipality in the state to achieve 100% cleanliness. He explained, “We have taken a multi-pronged approach involving waste segregation at source, door-to-door garbage collection, public awareness drives, and active community participation. The dustbins provided by PES Institutions will be strategically placed in public spaces to ensure proper waste disposal.” Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy reaffirmed PES Institutions’ dedication to community welfare, stating, “Serving humanity is not an occasional activity but a continuous responsibility. Our mission goes beyond academics—we strive to contribute towards healthcare, education, and cleanliness, which directly impact the quality of life in our communities.” Prof. Ajoy Kumar emphasized individual responsibility in achieving cleanliness. “Swachhata begins with each one of us. By keeping our homes, surroundings, and workplaces clean, we collectively create a healthier and more vibrant society. The change we wish to see in our towns and cities must start from our own doorstep,” he said. He also stressed the role of educational institutions in instilling these values in the younger generation. The distribution of dustbins to municipal representatives reinforcing a mission to become a model town for cleanliness for the state was held on August 12, 2025.
