On August 12th, 2025, PES University Libraries celebrated the 133rd birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan and National Librarians Day at the Central Library, Golden Jubilee Block Complex, RR Campus. The event began at 10:30 AM with a floral tribute to the bust of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan by distinguished guests, including Prof. M Krishnamurthy, Prof and Head, DRTC, Indian Statistical Institute, Bengaluru, Prof. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, PES University; Prof. Shikha Tripathi, Professor & Chairperson, Dept. of ECE; Sri C. Ramaswamy; and Dr. Subhash Reddy B, Librarian, along with the library staff.
Following the tribute, Prof. M Krishnamurthy shared their experiences and insights with the library staff, reflecting on the enduring significance of Dr. Ranganathan's contributions to library science. The event concluded with a high tea, fostering a warm and informal interaction among the attendees.
