PESU RR Campus

PES University RR campus in collaboration with Samarpana hosted alumnus Mr. Aravind Shankar, IT Manager, Software Development at Boeing. Speaking on the occasion he emphasized that confidence is contagious, citing Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s 1969 project as an example of unwavering self-belief. To reinforce his memorable message, he introduced two guiding frameworks, BRUNCH for success principles and CHAI for personal growth layers. BRUNCH stands for Belief “Want to shine like a sun? First burn like a sun”; Resilience, perseverance, illustrated through singer KK’s inspiring career; Upskilling, continuous learning, with Dr. Devi Shetty’s journey from a top surgeon to a visionary serving the underprivileged as an example; Nurturing Relationships “Never underestimate network” and “The power of a team,” with Nelson Mandela’s ability to build bridges even with his captors; Consistency, innovation inspired by Khan Academy’s rethinking of education; and Humility, exemplified by Dr. M.S. Swaminathan’s contributions to green solutions. The letters of CHAI stood for Consistency, showing commitment; Health, prioritizing well-being; Adaptability embracing change; and Integrity, holding onto ethical values. Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, in his address, connected the celebration to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, emphasizing PES University’s role in building a skilled and driven workforce. He introduced the acronym, LIFE, Learning, Innovation, Finance, and Excellence, motivating students to strive for global leadership. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Suryaprasad J felicitated the Chief Guest with a plant developed by the university’s Biotechnology Department with medicinal properties for diabetes management. The Independence inspirational act by the Department of Performing Arts featured Aarohi and Rithya as anchors, with soulful singing by Chinmayee, Tejas, Sharadha, Mrudula, Sanvi, Adithi, Meghana, and Chinmayee Nagendra, and heartfelt narration by Hrithika and Anarghya. Vande Mataram followed by the spirited Hindustani deepened the patriotic atmosphere. Dance performances by Rithya, Aarohi, Vidya, and Kshitij, including an enlightening performance to Jai Ho. The Dean of Performing Arts, Ms Sushma, added to the fervor with her resounding chants of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Mataram. The celebrations also featured a musical set by the TARANG band from the Department of Law, with singers Kerthi, Chinmayee Kini, Shubham, Vishnu, and Varshini, accompanied by Aruna on guitar and Tavanidhi Siddharth on beatboxing. Their medley began with Ae Watan, flowed into the moving Tere Mitti, and concluded with Maa Tujhe Salaam.
