To mark World No Tobacco Day, a poster competition was organized on May 30, 2025, at PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PESIMSR), Kuppam, aiming to raise awareness about the health hazards of tobacco use. The event commenced at 3:00 PM and was graced by chief guests Dr. Praveen Kumar B.A and Dr. Sreelatha. Undergraduate and paramedical students participated enthusiastically, showcasing creative posters that delivered powerful anti-tobacco messages. Judging was conducted by the chief guests, and winners were awarded mementos and certificates, while all participants received participation certificates. The event was coordinated by postgraduate students of the Department of Community Medicine. With nearly 40 students involved, the competition not only encouraged artistic expression but also reinforced the importance of tobacco-free living, echoing the message: "Save your lungs, quit smoking now."
