The 24-hour Hackathon featured over thirty five teams of students working on real-world problem statements focusing on Karnataka’s socio-economic and environmental challenges. The event was structured to include workshops, mentoring sessions, and presentations, ensuring that the participants had a comprehensive understanding of the context. The workshops were conducted by industry experts and faculty on JMP/Excel and PowerBI for data analysis and visualization. Mentoring sessions provided by experts from Vision Karnataka Foundation and PES faculty ensured that each team received guidance tailored to their problem statement. The participating teams demonstrated innovative solutions that blended data-driven analysis and practical insights. The final presentations were evaluated by a panel of experts, including representatives from Vision Karnataka Foundation: Mr. Nandakishor K, Executive Member; Ms. Anita Rao, Senior Advisor MSME; Mr. Ramasheshu, Brand Consultant and Dr. B.R. Balagangadharan, Chief Scientific Officer, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. The 24 hour Hack.AI Hackathon was organized by Department of BBA in Business Analytics and Center of Excellence in Learning and Development in association with Vision Karnataka Foundation on October 4-5, 2024 at RR campus.
