As part of the Ride Safe India campaign by the New Indian Express and Hero Moto Corp, PES Vice-Chancellor Dr. J. Surya Prasad distributed helmets to the Faculty and staff of the University. and urged them to promote helmet safety awareness amongst students. He cited statistics showing that most two-wheeler deaths occur without helmets and urged everyone to wear helmets while riding. Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar of PES University, and the team from The New Indian Express were present on the occasion.
