PES Polytechnic Inauguration of 1st Year Classes for Diploma students & Felicitation to Toppers was held on 30th June 2024, Prof. D. Jawahar, Pro Chancellor, PES University, was the Chief Guest on this Occasion.
Addressing the New Students Chief Guest Sri Singhvi F R, Joint Managing Director, Sansera Engineering Ltd. Bengaluru said that Educational Institutions must focus on inculcating moral values in the students and this should help them become ethically strong individuals. He added that the role and responsibility of teachers and parents in moulding the children as sensible citizens of the Nation is immense. The students need to develop interest in studies & Building their Bright Future. In this regard he also said that PES is in Forefront to prepare students across all programs of the University. He said that PES today is the most sought after Institution not just for students and parents but for every one who wishes to see their children come up in life successfully.
Final year FOUR toppers were felicitated with GOLD Medals and Eight 2nd & 1st year toppers were felicitated with certificate of merit and a Book Voucher of Rs. 1,000/- each. 12 Students who score 100 out of 100 in various subjects were felicitated with certificate of merit and a Book Voucher of Rs. 500/- each. The toppers were motivated to achieve a better feat in future.
In his Presidential speech Prof. D. Jawahar, stressed upon the need for value education in the education system. He said that the main motto of PES Institutions is to create professionally strong and ethically superior citizens. He also appreciated the role of teachers in nurturing the students with best qualities. He said teachers are the ones who make or break an institution. He advised the students to have a thirst to learn and told them to learn with immense interest and concentration for which physical activities are beneficial. He emphasized the importance of Yoga & Sports for better mental and physical health. He added that the Institution is continuously striving for the overall development of students through a mentoring system & mentioned about the merit scholarship which is the unique quality of PES Institutions. He requested the parents to fully support and cooperate with the management to create a colorful future for their children.
Dr. J. Surya Prasad, Vice-Chancellor, PES University, Released the Course Information Book of 1st year Students for the Academic year 2024-25. Prof. M.V. Sathyanarayana, Director, HN Campus, Prof. Devaraju H N, Principal, PES polytechnic were also present during this occasion.
