Dr Rohit Krishnappa, Professor and Head of General Surgery at PESUIMSR Electronic city campus was invited by Professor Shorya Awtar of University of Michigan College of Engineering to experience and give feedback on the handheld robot he has invented.

The Future of Surgery is immensely influenced by Robotics and AI.
There are news gadgets in the pipeline which give the surgeons a sense of freedom/flexibility in constricted spaces encountered during laparoscopy.
FlexDex was one of those articulated laparoscopic instruments which had an impact.
Prof Shorya Awtar the inventor, of University of Michigan College of Engineering invited Dr Rohit to try out his latest handheld Robotic device at Hyderabad on 10th May. Dr Rohit spent a few hours on the device,and gave positive feedback on the device.
Dr Shorya planned for future collaborations and association with PESUIMSR.
Dr Rohit also met Dr Anshuman, the MedTech leader as well during his visit.
