The team of Avishek Agarwal, Tejas P Karanji, Ishan Goyal, Basavaraj Vastrad bagged the first place in Techkriti’s flagship event, Robowars, showcasing their prowess in engineering, teamwork and strategy and. The contest challenged participants to design and operate wired or wirelessly controlled robots for one-on-one combat, equipped with pneumatic pincers, formidable armor and innovative weaponry. The winning robot made of 2 mm thick laser-cut stainless steel, weighing approximately 5kg, rendering it impervious to cutting attacks and controlled by an Arduino mega, receiving iBus signals from Flysky FS-i6 TX/RX, with custom code ensured low-latency movement and easy deployment of attack and defense techniques. The robot was equipped with 2 vertically mounted spinners powered by 5010 320kV BLDC motors, spinning at 7000 rpm, fitted with carbide tipped HSS blades ideal for cutting through the opponent bots’ frames and propelled by DC 10A planetary gear motors operating at 250 rpm, driven by a Cytron 10A 30V motor controller, achieving fast maneuverability through over-volted operation. Techkriti, the annual four-day inter-collegiate technical and entrepreneurship festival hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur was held from March 14-17, 2024.

Dr. M. R. Doreswamy, Honourable Chancellor of PES University congratulated the winners on their achievement.
