Design Santhe, the vibrant celebration of design and art hosted by PES University's Institute of Design, marked its second edition on November 22, 2023 with a monstrous twist. Throughout the day, the institute transformed into a fantastic realm with a myriad of props and decorations that added a playful and whimsical touch to the event. From larger-than-life sculptures to quirky and colorful installations, every corner of the venue reflected the imaginative spirit of the theme.
The atmosphere was abuzz with over 20 plus stalls, where students proudly displayed a diverse array of products, including jewellery, stickers, postcards, T-shirts, posters, tote bags, food stalls and graphic liners added to the event. The event was inaugurated by esteemed personalities, including the Honorable Pro-Chancellor Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, and the Director of the Institute of Design Prof. Chitra Viswanathan.
The fest served as a learning experience for budding artists and designers of the Institute, as a training ground for honing their business and people skills. It also served to boost their confidence by providing a platform to showcase and validate their creativity. The fest not only showcased the artistic talents of the students but also fostered a sense of community and shared creativity, witnessing a turnout of over thousands of purveyors.
