1st Year Diploma Classes: 2022-23 Inauguration and Felicitation to Toppers

PES Polytechnic Inaugurated the 1 st Year Classes for Diploma students and Felicitation to Toppers was held on 3rd July 2022, Dr. M R Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University, MLA Sri Ravi Subramanya Basavanagudi was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

Addressing the New Students Sri Ravi Subramanya said that Educational Institutions must focus on inculcating moral values in the students and this should help them become ethically strong individuals. He added that the role and responsibility of teachers and parents in moulding the children as sensible citizens of the Nation is

immense. The students need to develop an interest in developing make-in-India projects such as Athma Nirbar Proposed by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this regard, he also said that PES is in Forefront to prepare students across all programs of the University. He praised on the students of the University who with the help of ISRO and DRDO could launch 2 microsatellites successfully. He said that PES today is the Most sought-after Institution not just for students and parents but for everyone who wishes to see their children’s come up in life successfully.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. M R Doreswamy stressed the need for value education in the education system. He said that the main motto of PES Institutions is to create professionally strong and ethically superior citizens. He also appreciated the role of teachers in nurturing the students with the best qualities. He said teachers are the ones who make or mar an institution. He advised the students to have a thirst to learn and told them to learn with immense interest and concentration for which physical activities are beneficial. He emphasized the importance of Yoga for better mental and physical health. He added that the Institution is continuously striving for the overall development of students through the mentoring system which is his recommendation to the education department and mentioned the merit scholarship which is the unique quality of PES Institutions. On the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebrations, he ensured that the students will get ample opportunities to participate in various events that will be conducted throughout the academic year and invited all students to enthusiastically participate in these events and make memories. He requested the parents to fully support and co-operate with the management to create a colorful future for their children. The Prof.CNR & Prof.MRD Scholarship will be provided form school to university for eligible students every year.

In his presidential speech, Dr. Surya Prasad said that Dr. M R Doreswamy is an embodiment of actions and assured the students that they are in the best campus to make their dreams come true. He also advised to build the ability of time management, confidence and peer pressure for the current trend. He informed students to make best use of all the facilities offered by PES.

4 Final year toppers were felicitated with GOLD Medals and 8 2nd year & 1st-year toppers were felicitated with a certificate of merit and a Cash Voucher of Rs.1,000/- each. The toppers were motivated to achieve the better feat in the future.

Dr. J. Surya Prasad, Vice-Chancellor, PES University, Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, PES University, Prof. M.V. Sathyanarayana, Director, HN Campus PROF. H. N. DEVARAJU, Principal, PES polytechnic were also present during this occasion.
