About

Dr. Vamsi received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2011. He worked as a research associate in NTU (Feb-Oct 2011) and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Nov 2011-Feb 2014). He is presently a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, PES University. He is also the Head of Wireless Communications Networking (WiNC) domain. His research interests include system design and automation, optimization, deep reinforcement learning and scheduling algorithms in general. More specifically, he likes to design large scale distributed services and applications over wireless networks. Dr. Vamsi has published papers in reputed IEEE journals and international conferences. He regularly reviews papers for IEEE Trans. on Smart Grid, IEEE Trans. on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Trans. on Power Systems, International Journal on Electric Power and Energy Systems and Applied Energy. He has also reviewed many papers for other IEEE journals and conferences. Dr. Vamsi has held several administrative responsibilities such as being Dept. coordinator for ABET and IET accreditation for PES University (2015-16), Dept. coordinator for faculty recruitment (2015), Dept. Coordinator for ECE curriculum and syllabus (2015-Present) and Head of the Wireless Communication and Networking Domain (2021-Present).
