Prof. Ajoy Kumar credits PES's growth since 1972 to what he calls the "Spirit of PES" — the people who make the institution work. That Spirit centers on two cornerstones, Students and Teachers, around which every other activity at the university revolves.
He frames operational success through a set of ten key performance indicators every member of PES, regardless of role, measures themselves against — a self-appraisal culture he sees as central to consistently delivering for students.
