On 11th September 2025, the Shunya Club from PES University’s Electronic City Campus organized an impactful School Outreach Program at GHPS Mayasandra, Anekal, Bengaluru, aimed at making mathematics fun, interactive, and approachable for young learners.
Program Overview
The one-hour session, led by faculty coordinators Dr. Anuradha Bhattacharjee and Dr. Divya B, focused on:
- Interactive Quizzes – Engaging students in logical thinking and problem-solving through fun math challenges.
- Origami Geometry – Teaching geometric concepts through creative paper-folding activities, helping students visualize math in a hands-on way.
- Vedic Mathematics – Introducing quick mental calculation techniques based on ancient Indian methods for faster arithmetic.
Student Engagement
Students from Grades V to VIII participated enthusiastically, showcasing curiosity and excitement throughout the session. Special prizes were awarded to quiz winners, and every student received a stationery kit as a token of appreciation.
