Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) is a suite with advanced analytics, multivariate analysis, business intelligence, and criminal investigation. Students learnt how to import data from various sources, create new data files, and effectively manage missing values and duplicate cases to ensure the accuracy of the data. They used descriptive statistics and data visualization techniques to summarize, explore, and understand data distributions. They formulated and tested hypotheses by selecting appropriate statistical tests, interpreting results, and drawing meaningful conclusions. The workshop covered statistical techniques, such as t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square tests, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The workshop on SPAA was conducted by Dr Thasneem banu for Faculty members and post-graduate students on September 8-9, 2025 at Indian Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore.
