PES University paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on the occasion of his 164th birth anniversary, which is also observed as the 58th Engineers’ Day across the nation. The celebrations were held on the university campus on Monday with great respect and reverence.

As part of the event, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. J. Suryaprasad and Registrar Dr. K. S. Sridhar showered flowers on the portrait of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, recalling his monumental contributions as an engineer, statesman, and nation-builder. The floral tribute was followed by a solemn moment of remembrance, reflecting on Sir M.V.’s vision for modern India and his enduring legacy in the fields of engineering and public service.

The program highlighted the significance of Engineers’ Day in inspiring young minds to uphold the values of dedication, discipline, and innovation exemplified by Sir M.V. Faculty members, staff, and students actively participated in the observance, reaffirming their commitment to advancing technology and serving society.

Librarian Dr. Subhash Reddy B was also present during the occasion, adding to the dignified atmosphere of the event.

The university community collectively acknowledged the day not just as a commemoration of a great personality but also as a reminder of the role engineers continue to play in nation-building.
