The inauguration and the orientation of the first year classes for B.Tech, B. Arch Programs of PES University was held on 24th August 2025 in the University premises.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Hon’ble Chancellor, PES University, in the presence of Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. J Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. K.S. Sridhar, Registrar of PES University.
Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operations Officer, PES University, in his inaugural address stated that PES is committed to quality education. Hard work and perseverance are the most important qualities that the student must embrace to go forward in life. Prof. Ajoy emphasized on focusing on fundamentals and educating oneself with concepts rather than depending on AI or Google as the key to achieving success. He said that there is no one turning point in life, it is a lifelong journey of learning. Practical skills development, personal well-being, selecting and connecting with your peers and building a network of professional relationships will empower every student to achieve greater heights.
Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, PES University in his presidential address stated that there is a legacy to welcome new comers and assimilating them has been the culture of PES University. He said that PES values Discipline and recognizes merit and over 100 Crores being distributed to meritorious students over a period of time. He remembered the guiding principles of the Founder Chancellor Dr. M.R. Doreswamy on the occasion inculcates virtues of forgiveness, gratitude and humility in becoming successful in their career. He emphasized the roles of both
Parents and the institution in nurturing the future of students. He quoted that PES with a strong mentorship program caters to student needs and guides them to reach their life’s pinnacle.
Prof. CNR Rao and Prof. MRD merit scholarships were presented to meritorious students by the dignitaries. The dignitaries also offered their floral tribute to Dr. M. R. Doreswamy, the Founder Chancellor, PES University and Sir M. Visvesvaraya on this occasion.
Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar of PES University welcomed the gathering while Dr. Lata Pasupulaty Chairperson of the Department of Science and Humanities rendered the vote of thanks.
Prof. Jawahar Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University held an orientation session for all the first-year students and parents, highlighting the important principles, practices of the University that the students need to follow to become successful in their academic career.
