PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PESIMSR), Kuppam, proudly celebrated National Doctors’ Day on 1st July 2025 at the college auditorium to honor the invaluable contributions of doctors in healthcare and society.
The event commenced with a solemn lamp-lighting ceremony by distinguished guests, symbolizing knowledge and healing. The program brought together faculty, students, administrators, and guests from various sectors to express gratitude to the medical fraternity.
Dr. H. R. Krishna Rao, Dean and Principal, PESIMSR, addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of doctors’ selfless service, dedication, and the vital role they play in patient care. He reflected on the institution’s impact in nurturing competent healthcare professionals:
“Since its establishment, PESIMSR has played a pivotal role in training health professionals. To date, we have successfully graduated 2,665 MBBS doctors and 894 MD/MS postgraduates who are now contributing meaningfully to healthcare systems across India and abroad.”
Dr. V.S.S.R. Rally, Vice Principal (Academics), and Dr. Subramanya K, Medical Superintendent, delivered inspiring messages, acknowledging the hard work and commitment of doctors, especially in challenging times.
The event also featured participation from the corporate sector, with Mr. Girishankar, Circle Head, DCB Bank, and Mr. Balaji, Zonal Head, Aditya Birla, who extended their appreciation for the medical profession and shared their perspectives on collaboration between healthcare and industry.
As a gesture of appreciation, DCB Bank graciously arranged high tea for all attendees and distributed mementos to mark the occasion and honor the medical community.
The program concluded with the National Anthem, marking a respectful and proud end to the celebration.
This Doctors’ Day celebration served not only as a tribute but also as a reminder of the noble values upheld by the medical profession and PESIMSR’s continued commitment to excellence in medical education and service.
