The participants of cyber hackathons showcased their technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills under the mentorship of industry experts and law enforcement officials. The solutions for Blockchain-Based Digital Evidence Chain of Custody, Deepfake Detection and IoT Device Evidence Extractor demonstrated their technical prowess in cybercrime investigation. 

Award winning teams for hacks for IoT Device Evidence Extractor - Winner: Team paidRTOS of PES University, Runner-up: Team APT of  PES University, Internship: Team Arkhives of BNM Institute of Technology, Consolation: Team Smart Spybot of BNM Institute of Technology and Team CIDE2CIDE (PES University). Award winning teams for hacks for Deepfake Detection - Winner: Team Snack Overflow of Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Runner-up: Team Jigyasa of IIIT Kottayam, Internship: Team VerifyX of Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Consolation: Team 1947 of Yenepoya University) and Team low taper fade of SPIT, Mumbai. Awardwinning teams for hacks for Blockchain-Based Digital Evidence Chain of Custody- Winner: Team CID-ENCODE of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Runner-up: Team Section 65 Sentinels of PES University, Internship: Team Chain of Justice of PES University, Consolation: Team 0xRuchiKaraShunti of PES University and Team Curity of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management. Dr. M.A. Saleem, IPS, DGP CID Karnataka, inaugurated the hackathon and stated that Centre for Cybercrime Investigation Training and Research is committed to fostering innovation in cybersecurity and bridging the gap between academia and real-world challenges. Dr. Suryaprasad J, Vice Chancellor, PES University, added that the collaboration with PES University and CCITR reflected the shared vision of empowering the next generation to build a safer digital future. CCITR  in collaboration with CID Karnataka, Infosys Foundation, and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) organized the second edition of its 24-hour Cyber Hackathon in partnership with PES University at RR campus on March 8, 2025.
