Code-blitz hackathon

The 24-hour hackathon saw the teams brainstorm, develop user stories, and create basic designs for their applications. The participating teams delved into the backend development throughout the night, working on database setup, API integrations and server-side functionalities. Top 12 teams were shortlisted based on their cumulative grades scored in the 4 rounds. The top 3 teams were selected based on their innovation, functionality, and presentation. Mentors from the industry who guided the participants included Ms Aishwarya Pauskar, Research Software Engineer, Broadcom and Mr Shirsho Chakraborty, Data engineer, Genpact and faculty members Ms Shambavi N, Mr Niteesh K R and Ms Pooja T S. Each team presented their hacks  to a panel of judges that included: Akshay Dhage, Senior SRE, Delta Air Lines; Vasanth.S, Principal Engineer, Akamai Technologies India; Rohit Singla, Senior Software Engineer, Analyttica Datalabs and Aniruddha S G, founder of DCT Academy and faculty members Dr. Veena S, Dr. Thenmozhi S. The first place was won by Team Bit Bytezz followed by Team AL-mazing and Team SUS. Over 90 teams of 4-6 team members registered for the hackathon and 25 teams were shortlisted based on the problem statement. Code Blitz Hackathon 2025 was inaugurated by Dr. K S Sridhar. The hackathon was organized by the INIT club of the Department of Computer Applications under the guidance of  Dr. Annu Sharma and Mr Santosh S Katti and was held on February 8-9, 2025 at RR campus.
