The Ninth annual convocation of held today at the PES University campus. Prof. D. Jawahar, Pro-Chancellor of PES University and Chief Executive Officer of PES Institutions presided over the function and awarded degrees to the students.
Shri Rashmikant Joshi, Managing Director, Festo India Pvt Ltd, was the chief guest and delivered the convocation address. Shri Joshi congratulated all young graduates for receiving their graduation certificates and motivated them to have an action plan for the next five to seven years for shaping their career path. This consciously created path will prepare a sound foundation for their career and ensure success in their life. Strive for learning and mastering a function, create your demand in the organization through being honest and transparent as well as fostering a strong sense of integrity and responsibility. Shri Joshi also emphasized on relationship building with people around which, is the most important ingredient of the growth formula.
Dr. Doreswamy, Chancellor of PES University, his presidential address was read out by Prof. Ajoy Kumar, Chief Operating Officer of PES group of Institutions, congratulated the graduating students. All graduated students were placed in different organizations because of their potential and capabilities along with a secured degree from PES University. Dr. Doreswamy emphasized them to have a vision in their life and be part of nation building activity. The pursuit of excellence by any educational institution is a journey laden with challenges. It begins with building academic capabilities to equip students with the confidence to tackle contemporary challenges. The confidence arises from a blend of innate qualities of ambition, expert training, disciplined learning, and above all, a sense of responsibility to contribute to national productivity while embodying the cherished values and culture of our nation. Vishva Manava, a global citizen, a term coined by the great Kannada poet Kuvempu. This is the transformation from student to Vishva Manava that PES University has envisioned for students future. The high cost of health care has prompted the PES University healthcare plan, dedicated 240 free beds to all people, services, deliveries, operations will be free to these 240 beds.
Vice Chancellor of PES University Dr. J. Surya Prasad welcomed the dignitaries and audiences. Prof. D. Jawahar, Pro-Chancellor of PES University unveiled the scroll of honor and presented the oath to passing out graduates. Dr. K.S. Sridhar, Registrar rendered the vote of thanks. In all 4402 students received their degree, included 16 Ph.D awardees, 3 M.Tech by research awardees and 91 rank holders who received gold medals and certificates with 55 girl students bagging the medals.
