The speaker, Dr. Karthik, Chief of Center of Examination explained the significance of course codes and detailed the examination pattern and In-Session Assessment (ISA) and End-Session Assessment (ESA) schemes. He demonstrated the hybrid mode of conducting tests and exams and explained the policy and the calculation behind SGPA and CGPA grades. He discussed the procedure for review of ISA marks and scholarship criteria and warned about the consequences of malpractice in exams. In his concluding remarks, he mentioned the vertical mobility during the course duration and provided contact points for grievance redressal. The session, part of Know Your PES series for new admits to the MCA program, was organized by the Department of Computer Applications on October 21, 2024 at RR campus.
