Dr. Abhilash received the Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award, instituted by the Government of India from President Droupadi Murmu, on August 23, 2024. He is a Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-NML, Jamshedpur and has contributed significantly to the development of interdisciplinary processes for extraction of strategic metals, from mine & process wastes. Dr. Abhilash was a student of the first batch of MSc program of Biotechnology department of PES University (then PESIT).
