Technoxian ‘24, international robotics competition, brought together teams from G20 countries, showcasing innovation and technical prowess in robotics. Krutharth M C, Pramath Haritz, Manu L, Ishan Goyal from ECE and Rajshekar Murthy from ME secured the top spot in the Drone FPV Racing competition. In First Person View drone racing pilots navigate high-speed drones through complex courses using specialized goggles that display a live video feed from the drone and camera. The courses featured tight turns, obstacles, and unexpected twists to test the pilots’ reflexes and control at high speeds. Pilots navigated these courses using advanced flight controllers and powerful motors, showcasing the blend of human skill and cutting-edge technology. In Drone Rescue competition, the team comprising of Krutharth M C, Tejas P Karanji, Manu L, Ishan Goyal from ECE, Sankarshan from EEE, Aditya Naskar from CSE, Lakshmi B V from AIML, Rajshekar Murthy and Basavaraj Vastrad from ME, demonstrated their capability to build and operate drones that are aerodynamically stable and capable of executing precise maneuvers. The team finished in the top 5, showcasing their innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities. The challenge involved building a drone within specified dimensions and completing various rounds of performance evaluation. This challenge emphasized creativity, teamwork, and the ability to innovate in drone design. The Fastest Line Follower team comprising of Krutharth M C, Tejas P Karanji, Pramath Haritz, Manu L, Ishan Goyal from ECE, Aditya Naskar from CSE, Lakshmi B V from AIML, and Rajshekar Murthy from ME designed and constructed autonomous robots capable of navigating a course by following a black line. The robot’s speed and precision were critical for success. The team qualified for the finals, underlining their engineering acumen in robotics design and automation. In the Bots Combat event, participants were required to build robots capable of engaging in combat against other robots. The aim was to inflict maximum damage or push opponents out of the combat arena. IEEE RAS PESU’s robot, engineered for strength and durability, qualified for the second round, proving their competitive edge in robotic combat. The team consisted of Krutharth M C, Tejas P Karanji, Pramath Haritz, Manu L, Ishan Goyal from ECE and Rajshekar Murthy and Basavaraj Vastrad from ME. Technoxian 24, international robotics competition was held at Noida from August 24-27, 2024.
