The 8-hour Figma based hackathon aimed to provide participants with a platform to learn and
collaborate to create solutions for challenging UI/UX design problems. Mr. Sasikumar M, Backend engineer, LeagueX and Mr. Ashish Kumar, Software Developer, Drongo AI, both PES Alumni conducted a workshop on design thinking and the right approach to tackle design problems using Figma. The teams came up with an idea for their selected problem statement and submitted a wireframe of the same. Jury members, Mr. Nahush DC, Project Manager, DPDzero and an alumni participated in mentoring the teams. The teams then created design prototype solutions for their desired problem statement and presented before the jury: Dr. Jayashree R, Head, Department of CSE (AI, ML), Dr. Premalatha H M, and alumni: Mr. Murtaza Salumber, Sr. Software Engineer, Aritha, Mr. Chandan P, Sr. UI Engineer, DPDzero along with the mentor and judge Mr. Nahush DC. The first place was won by Ms. Shivani H, Ms. Kusuma Yadav B, Mr. Labdh Purohit, Mr.Shanker Singh. The second place was bagged by Ms. Karanam Sai Pranavi, Mr. Kishan LJ, Mr. Sushanth HS, Ms. Keerthana Rao. Mr. Debjit Sarkar, Mr. Utsav Anand, Mr. Rohit Raj Y and Ms. Kushi secured third place. INIT club of the Department of Computer Applications organized FIGMATHON, an 8-hour Figma based hackathon for BCA and MCA Students on April 20, 2024 at RR campus.
