The speaker, Gp Capt Venugopalan explained the benefits of HAM radio and his eventful experience in the field. He covered the  theoretical foundations of HAM radio, explaining the nature of the Ionosphere, the Sun-spot cycle and their indirect relations to transmission and reception of signals. The videos highlighted Q0-100 satellite for HAM communication, and satellite tracking software- GPredict. Gp Capt Venugopalan showcased equipment used by HAM radio users for communication including the hardware of the equipment, and the dipole antenna for reception of signals. Syed Ateebuddin Ahmed, President Chair of COMNET graced the occasion. The workshop Antenna Alchemy was organized by Wireless and Networking Communications (WiNC) domain in collaboration with the Student Technical Forum COMNET on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at RR Campus.
