The event was centered around inspiring the students to pursue a career in diplomacy and understand the importance of diplomacy in every field of work. Participants got an opportunity to showcase their qualities while broadening their reasoning and analytical and argumentation skills. Mr. Thierry Berthelot, Consulate General of France in Bangalore, the Chief Guest of the event detailed the role of diplomacy in various walks of life, whilst giving a glimpse of his activities. He explained the French position on foreign affairs. He spoke at length about Franco-Indian ties and also the upcoming Olympic games in France. Participants split into two teams faced five intense and exciting rounds of quiz, debate, problem-solving, crisis, and consequential simulations that tested their analytical and logical reasoning skills. This event was organized by PES Model United Nations Society in the PESU52 Hackroom of RR campus on February 3-4, 2024.
