The Indian knowledge system bears an understated yet radical impact on the evolution of thinking in the ancient world and in contemporary times. Dr Raj Vedam highlighted the evidence of knowledge transfers from ancient India by identifying its influence in literary texts, arts and crafts like pottery, development of trade routes and intellectual practices in different cultures of the world. Dr Raj Vedam has researched extensively on scientific validation of Indian history and presented his point of view in global fora and conducted workshops on the subject. The Department of Performing Arts organized the guest lecture by Dr Raj Vedam on Historicity of Indian Knowledge System on October 17, 2023 at TDM Studio in RR Campus. Smt. Ratnamala Prakash, Dr Sushma S V and Dr V Krishna, Dean of Student affairs, Advisor of Department of Performing Arts were present on the occasion.
