In recent years, high-quality, ethically sourced beans and precise brewing methods to produce flavorful cups of coffee are key to market acceptance. Technology is also playing an increasing role in the coffee industry. A visit to Harmakki Coffee by students of BBA HEM provided an opportunity to observe the trends closely. Students could understand roasting techniques to achieve desired flavour profiles taking into consideration factors like temperature, time, and bean selection. They realised the importance of skillfully using both manual and machine press methods to brew coffee, ensuring optimal extraction and flavour balance. It enabled an informed appreciation for coffee, including the ability to recognize and describe various tasting notes, aromas, and textures. The visit to Harmakki Coffee was organised by the department of BBA HEM on September 13, 2023.
