The Department of Performing Arts presented a certificate course - The Voice Garage @ TDM Studio, GJBC, PESU

The Voice Garage was conducted by Renowned Singer Prof. Arundhati Vasishta, Department of Performing Arts, PESU, from March 20 to 25, 2023 at the TDM Studio, GJBC, PESU RR Campus, from 4 PM - 5.30 PM on all days.

The Course was inaugurated on March 20, at 4 pm, by Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice Chancellor, in the presence of Dr. K. S. Sridhar, Registrar, Dr. V. Krishna, Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. S. V. Sushma, Professor, Department of Performing Arts, PES University. The program started with an invocation by Prof. Arundhati Vasishta, Department of Performing Arts.

The course had a special concluding session by celebrity musician, composer, and actor Sri Praveen D. Rao on March 25.

The Voice Garage was a voice culture course where voices were trained and tuned in such a way that the students will be able to find their way to try singing various genres from classical to filmy. The students got an opportunity to learn specially selected compositions from across genres from classical to filmy. This provided clarity on how to attain authenticity in the experimentation of the voice when applied to different types of modulations. The course provided the students with the knowledge to use the voice in a desired way with individual attention being provided. Whatever the capabilities of the student are, the experimental exercises took them towards enhancement through the course.

Twenty-Five students attended the course and got an opportunity to fine-tune their voices.
