Tribute to Dr. B R Ambedkar on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanthi at PES University

On the special occasion of Ambedkar Jayanthi, PES University held an event in front of the Prof. MRD block to pay tribute and respect to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.  

The event was inaugurated by Dr. V. Krishna by lighting the lamp.  

This was preceded by a speech given by Lakshmi Kamat who spoke about the life history and struggles of Dr. Ambedkar and how he overcame oppression by standing up for what's right. This was followed by Akash and Pranav, who enlightened the crowd on the strong ideologies of Baba Saheb, and how he continued to work hard to abolish the discrimination faced by minorities and believed in the rights of inclusivity for everyone. 

Dr. V. Krishna addressed the crowd and emphasized taking inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar to always be bold and true to oneself. 

The event came to a conclusion with a minute of silence followed by the recitation of the preamble of the constitution by the crowd. The national anthem was sung and a floral tribute was given to Dr. Ambedkar.
