Workshop on revised basic course for teachers in medical colleges

Faculty members from different disciplines underwent training in the revised curriculum recommended by the national medical commission which was focused on competency-based medical education. Dr. Suresh, from SDUMC, was the NMC Observer. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Roopa Suresh, Associate Medical Director, PESIMSR, Kuppam, Dr. H. R . Krishna Rao, Dean and Principal, and Dr. Chennabasava Patil, Medical Superintendent. Dr. Roopa Suresh, said that such programmes further develop the teaching skills of the faculty members. Twenty sessions were conducted by facilitators: Dr. H. R. Krishna Rao, Dr. V. S. S. R Ryali, Dr. Gurudat Pawar, Dr. Chitra Nagaraj, Dr. Nagesh Raju, Dr. Pradeep, Dr. Sujatha, and Dr. Komala. The 3-day workshop on Revised Basic Course (RBCW) for training of teachers in medical colleges under the guidance of National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi was held from March 7 - 9, 2023 at PES Medical College, Kuppam.
