Intercollegiate competition held on the occasion titled Pharmagala 2022 provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge, inculcate ethical values and evoke a sense of pride in being associated with the field of pharma sciences. The special day focuses on the pharmacists’ role in improving health on a global scale with the theme: Pharmacy united in action for a Healthier World. The special week aims to create awareness in public and healthcare professionals about the importance of ADR reporting with the theme: Pharmacovigilance: A step towards Patient Safety. The essay competition titled History of Pharmacy explored the Recent Advancements in Medicine.
In another contest, the participants debated the pros and cons of E-Pharmacy. Photography, quiz, poetry, poster making and elocution competitions saw the students vie for the top spot. The lamp lighting ceremony was presided over by Dr. J. Saravanan, Dean, FPS, PESU Dr. C. Narayana Reddy, Principal, PES PUC Dr. Devaraj, Principal, PES Polytechnic College and Narahari K. V, Student Affairs, FPS-PESU. Dr. V. Krishna, Dean, Student Affairs graced the event, motivated the students and felicitated the winners. The celebration commemorating World Pharmacist Day and National Pharmacovigilance Week was organized by faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at HN campus on September 23, 2022.
