Inaugurating his office at Vidhan Soudha Prof. M.R. Doreswamy thanked Hon’ble C.M. Sri. Basavaraj Bommai and Hon’ble Former C. M. Sri B.S. Yediyurappa for his reappointment as Adviser, Education Reforms.
His Holiness Sri Nithysthananda Swamiji, President Ramakrishna Ashrama, Bangalore, blessed the occasion by his divine presence and participation. Prof. M.R. Doreswamy requested swamiji to help the government in extending value education to the school students and teachers.
Sharing his experiences with the VIPs present regarding his tenure as an adviser on the precious term, Prof. M.R. Doreswamy said that he was immensely satisfied for preparing a strong base to implement NEP-2020 through 18 recommendations made to the government of Karnataka. Re-imaging government schools by novel adoption Polices, training teachers and staff of government schools in NEP-2020 and creation of a novel government corporate house to find special education projects are noteworthy among them, he said.
Explaining his future plans his dream was to reimage 48 thousand government schools as per NEP-2020. Since most of the students are studying in rural government schools. They should be empowered on par with urban schools in the interest of social justice and equity.
Prof. K. Siddappa, former Vice-Chancellor, Bangalore University, Prof. H.P Khincha former Vice-Chancellor, VTU, Dr. Sachidananda Murthy, former Vice-Chancellor, RGUHS, and Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice-Chancellor, PES University graced the occasion.
He appreciated Prof: K.Siddappa, former Vice-Chancellor, Bangalore University for aspiring the services of KAAS and his staff for training teachers through workshops.
