Talk on entrepreneurial mindset in the age of Industry 4.0

Entrepreneurship continues to attract the best talent with rapid change to technology, industries, and societal patterns and processes powered by increasing interconnectivity and smart automation. The session conducted by Mr. Sathya Prasad focused on Seeds of Entrepreneurship. The discussion on innovative competencies for commerce, key elements required for entering the market and tech-based entrepreneurship demystified the term start-up. He outlined the changes in technology and innovation during a pandemic highlighting the facts that customer digital interaction has increased during the pandemic, and the growth of about 38% in 3 years indicates a rapid shift in digital. He observed that E-commerce has grown in eight weeks during the pandemic which is equal to the growth in the past ten years and remote learning has seen an increase of 250 million in two weeks. Mr.Prasad spoke about the global rise of start-ups, the flow from the capital economy to the knowledge economy to the entrepreneurial economy today mainly due to disruptive changes. He touched upon the paradigm of innovation driven entrepreneurship and combination of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and illustrated how they are co-related, with the essence of entrepreneurship at the center of all three.
