Mr. Praveen Sinha, Principal Architect, Palo Alto Networks, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Addressing the students of Batch 2021-22, Mr Praveen said that parents can be rest assured that their wards are in the right hands. Further, he motivated the students to revisit once in a while from where they started their career so that they get to know how much of progress has taken place.
In his presidential address, Dr. M.R. Doreswamy, Chancellor of PES University narrated the 50 years of Journey of PES starting from PU College to a University that has been ranked No. 1 in the State and one among Top 100 Universities in India. He said the discriminating factors that make PES Unique are Quality and value based education, learning environment with best teachers and supporting infrastructures, mentor system, placement opportunities and merit scholarships. He highlighted on the significance of attracting talented industry professionals to join academia for teaching which has also been aptly said by the New Education Policy. There by establishing a strong bondage between industry and academia as this is the need of the hour. He called upon the aspirant engineers to follow great personalities like Sri M Visvesvaraya. He said PES is in the verge of celebrating its Golden Jubilee during the year 2022. He added that PES is coming up with a medical college with a 300 bedded super speciality hospital that would cater to the needs of 100 villages in and around electronic city with the affordable medical charges.
Dr. J. Suryaprasad, Vice-Chancellor welcomed the dignitaries and audiences. The dignitaries distributed the Prof. CNR Rao and Prof. MRD Merit scholarships to the awardees. Dr. K.S. Sridhar, Registrar of PES University rendered the vote of thanks. Prof. D. Jawahar, Pro-Chancellor of PES University, and Prof. Ajoy Kumar, COO of PES University were present on the occasion.
