All nighter stock market workshop held

The intense workshop focused on helping participants learn investing strategies, identifying low risk and high potential entry points for their trade and mingle with the reputed guest lecturers. Mr. Prashanth Sarathy, Chartered Accountant and an IIM-A alumni shared valuable insights into the fascinating world of stock market, investment and the relevance of engineers in the world. The discussion was followed by practical understanding of stock trading with Investopedia. The real-time trading with Wall Street, USA was flagged off at 7.00 pm (IST). Till 2am (IST) in the midst of the intense live trading session, the participants were served dinner, tea and coffee. The rigorous sessions on the basics of stock markets and pit trading were conducted by experts from Stock Market Institute, Bangalore. The speakers from SMI included Mr. Deepak Kumar, Mr. Kishore BS, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, and the associates were Mr. Ajay, Mr. Alok, Mr. Harish Kumar, and Mr. Lokesh. The trading session was followed by performances by college's music bands and by the participants in the open mic session for the rest of the night. Kishore BB, Nirneeth and Akshay Kumar who made the highest profit in the trading session were declared winners. The workshop ended by 6 am morning the next day. This event, co-chaired by Club President Aashuthosh Manchali and Vice President Anubhav Anand was organised by the Entrepreneurship Club of PES University Electronic City Campus under the guidance of faculty in charge Dr SV Satish on September 9, 2019.
