Pharma Exhibition -2019 & Free Health Camp

Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, HN Campus organized a Pharma Exhibition in HN Campus on 22/11/2019. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof.Dr.M.R.Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University along with Prof.M.V.Sathyanarayana, the campus Director, HN Campus PES University. Fun and Enthusiasm filled the venue where the bubbling students of B.Pharm, Pharm.D and M.Pharm programs made many models both automatic and semi- automatic working models that were depicting recent advancements and research findings in Pharma field. A total of 50 exhibits were exhibited from six different departments of specialization i.,e, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy , Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacy Practice. To high light a few – synthesized soluble plastics by extracting soluble starch from natural sources like banana, corn, Potato etc. The beauty of this soluble plastic is that it is bio-degradable and will overcome the current menace posed by plastic in environmental pollution. A huge model of Quality Control lab of Pharmaceutical industry showing the microbiology lab with air filters, wet lab and instrumental lab was exhibited. A working models of magnetic stirrer from waste material and purification of smoke by using an air purifier were constructed and exhibited. Alteration and rectification of gene using crispr-cas9 model was made and light was thrown upon its advantages for gene altering to get tailor made species. The students of Pharm.D IV year had also arranged for basic Health check up like Body Mass Index(BMI), Pulse, Blood Pressure and blood glucose level monitoring to the public, students and employees of PES University. The main crowd who witnessed and gained knowledge from this exhibition were PUC students and the general public.
