Felicitating Prof K N Seetharamu

At the international symposium on Heat Transfer, Professor KN Seetharamu's was felicitated on his eightieth birthday. Prof T Sundararajan, Chairperson, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras. Prof M V Krishna Murthy, former Prof, Department of Mechanical Engineering IISc. Dr. KNB Murthy, Vice Chancellor of PES University and academicians from abroad were present on the occasion. Prof M V Krishnamurthy recollected the contribution of Prof K N Seetharamu to teaching and research and how his books are today a key learning resource. Prof T Sundararajan admired him for his down-to-earth personality and remembered his unique way of teaching finite element method (FEM) way back at IIT Madras. Prof V Krishnamurthy, Registrar, PES University, compared him to the roots and new students as leaves in educational system. Prof P Nithiyarasu and Dr A Ranganayakulu, scientist, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) highlighted his contribution. PES University is fortunate to have teachers like Prof K N Seetharamu and honoured to present the Mysore Peta and felicitate him and his wife on the occasion.
