Electrical & Electronics PESU RR Campus
The Electrical and Electronics Department held technology intensive interactions that provided students with hands-on experience of some of the industry leading technologies. Guided by staff members, students actively participated also in the planning, logistics and live demonstrations. Arudino Projects: Students got an opportunity to build a moving robot with wheels and control its direction and speed using hardware and software. The 6 day workshop conducted by faculty members guided students in using a low cost and simpler methods to build devices that interact with their environment using sensors and actuators. Participants built devices using sensors for temperature and humidity, ultrasound, IR and motion. Date: 20 June – 25 June For details download: Arduino Session Planning Event Report Applying Verilog and FPGA: The 20-day summer course on VERLOG coding and FPGA gave students the confidence to take up practical challenges facing real time applications. Rajendra Prasad from ESA highlighted the importance of FPGA in the current trends. Selva Kumar from Synopsys explained the practical viewpoint of the real time architecture. Kaushik from Technovention Labs guided the hands on experience of real time projects. Ashwin from GE, shared his insights into current scenario of embedded systems. Bhavana and Meghana won the contest for designing a UART Transmitter. The other projects included building Electronic Voting Machine.
