Shreedhar Hegde reached the Top Eight in Speak for India, Karnataka edition to win the title of Debate Jewel of Karnataka. He qualified for the finals from among 40,000 contestants proving himself to be a vibrant, confident and persuasive debater. The evaluation criteria included style, clarity and conviction of thought and lucidity of articulation.
Speak for India is an initiative by Federal Bank in association with The Times of India Group to encourage young, dynamic and enthusiastic minds across the nation to raise their voice on pertinent issues and play the role of change maker in society. The final round was held at Sherton Hotel, on February 22, 2018 and winners took home cash prize of Rs.25,000/- each. Shreedhar is a student of MCA program.
